Delete your Prayin account

You can remove your account and all associated data at any time. Two paths below: do it yourself from inside the app, or email us and we'll handle it for you.

Path 1 - Fastest

Delete from inside the Prayin app

1.Open Prayin on your iPhone or iPad.
2.Go to Settings (gear icon, top-right).
3.Scroll to Account → Delete account.
4.Tap Delete and confirm.

Your account is removed immediately and you'll be signed out. Local data on the device (prayer history, streaks, journal entries) is also wiped.

Path 2 - By email

Email us to delete it for you

1.Send an email to info@prayinlock.com.
2.Use the subject line: "Delete my account".
3.Include the Apple ID email you signed in with (if you remember it).
4.We confirm and process the deletion within 7 days.

Don't worry if you can't remember which Apple ID you used - we'll work with you to find your records. We may reply asking for confirmation before we delete.

What gets deleted

When your account is deleted, the following is permanently removed:

Your Apple ID linkage. The opaque Apple-relay token we held is destroyed, and the encrypted iCloud-synced records are unlinked from our system.
Your prayer history, streak progress, mood check-ins, and journal entries on your device. All on-device data is wiped.
Any preferences, schedules, or lock configurations stored inside the app.
Your subscription record on our side. (Apple still owns the billing record - see below.)

What we have to keep

A few things have to stay for legal or billing reasons. We do not use them for anything else.

Apple subscription records

Apple processes payments and maintains the receipt history. Even if you delete your Prayin account, Apple still has your purchase record per their own retention policy. You can request that from Apple directly via reportaproblem.apple.com.

Anonymous diagnostics

Aggregate crash and performance data already submitted to Apple's diagnostics pipeline cannot be unwound - it carries no personal identifier, so there is nothing tied to you to delete.

Timeline

In-app deletion is immediate. Email-driven deletion is typically completed within 7 days and never longer than 30 days, per GDPR Article 17.

Cancel your subscription separately

Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active Prayin Pro subscription with Apple. To cancel the recurring charge, open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions, find Prayin, and tap Cancel Subscription.

If you cancel right before account deletion, you keep access until the current period ends.
